**Main Responsibilities**:
**Volunteer Coordination**
- Provide administrative support with the recruitment of MH Volunteers (MHV’s)
- Plan, correspond to, organize and Invite individuals to interview.
- Generate appropriate volunteering opportunities and create role descriptions based on the diversifying needs of the organization.
- Monitor, support, and motivate volunteers and their work. This includes managing all social media communication with volunteers.
- Maintain and update volunteer databases. This includes managing the volunteers list, inducting all new volunteers and cataloging MHV’s capabilities, interests and availability.
- Recruit volunteers and provide appropriate training to ensure they are suitable for the role.
- Ensure MHV’s are appropriately supported, motivated, monitored and trained in order to maximize benefit to Muslim Hands.
- Manage budgets and resources, including the reimbursement of expenses to MHV’s.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and policy related to volunteering and make all necessary amendments to documents and literature in view of the changes.
- Monitor, evaluate and write reports on MHV’s activities for donors, Web uploads, Management and Trustees.

**Events Coordination**
- To directly coordinate Muslim Hands Canada events nationally with a view to secure MHV’s and raise funds accordingly.
- Publicize Events, Keeping up to date with culture trends; monitoring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and ensuring appropriate marketing ‘placement’.
- To liaise with MHV’s and the scheme; continually seeking to raise its profile and secure fund-raising opportunities.
- To nurture existing (and cultivating new) partnerships with relevant and desirable institutions.
- To encourage and support volunteers to run their own fundraising event activities within their specific areas.
- To maintain regular contact with MHV’s around the country, setting mini-challenges during ‘off-peak’ periods so that they remain engaged and active within their specific areas.
- To support with and source the provision of 1-1 and group training for key MHV’s with a view to develop registered and active volunteers, directly and through suitable partnerships.
- To support in the attainment of an effectively visible MH presence at key events, both at grass roots and regional level, mobilizing localized volunteer networks and Fundraising Team(s) as required.
- To support the Line Manager in achieving day-to-day tasks, undertaking all reasonable requests as required.

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Events planning: 2 years (preferred)
