Barista/café All-rounder

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We’re looking for a Barista & Café Server to bring warmth, efficiency, and energy to our front-of-house team. This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with customers, crafting high-quality drinks, and ensuring a seamless café experience.

While you’ll spend some time behind the bar crafting lattes, smoothies, and wellness drinks, this role is much more than just making coffee. You’ll also take orders, serve guests, help with food prep, keep the café clean and inviting, and support the retail area when needed. This is an opportunity to grow within a vibrant, health-driven space while honing both barista and hospitality skills.

**EMPLOYMENT DETAILS**
- **Position Type**: Part-time or full-time, seasonal (May 9 - October 14)
- **Hours**:

- May: May start part-time (~20-25 hours/week)
- Peak Season (June - September): Full-time (~30-40 hours/week)
- October: May return to part-time (~20-25 hours/week)

**REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Experience as a barista or in a café/restaurant setting
- Ability to prepare espresso-based drinks, smoothies, and bowls according to recipes and quality standards
- Strong understanding of customer service, hospitality, and workflow efficiency
- Food Handlers & Smart Serve Certifications (required)

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet all customers in a friendly and timely manner, developing rapport with regulars
- Engage with customers, share menu knowledge, and make recommendations
- Maintain an efficient service flow, ensuring customers are guided seamlessly

**Barista & Food Prep Duties**
- Prepare espresso drinks, lattes, smoothies, bowls, and other menu items with consistency and quality
- Follow recipes and portioning guidelines to maintain brand standards
- Assist with back-of-house food preparation and organization

**Operational & Cleaning Standards**
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
- Maintain safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards throughout the café
- Keep the front-of-house and back-of-house clean, inviting, and well-organized

**POS & Sales Support**
- Take orders, process payments, and ensure accuracy at the POS
- Assist with inventory checks and retail support as needed
- Provide feedback to improve café operations and sales performance
