We are seeking a passionate and experienced **Back of House Manager** to lead our kitchen team, ensure operational excellence, and support the production of both classic French pastries and specialty donuts.

**Position Summary**:
The **Back of House Manager** is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including daily production of artisan pastries, viennoiseries, and donuts. This role involves managing a skilled team, maintaining high cleanliness and efficiency standards, and ensuring the consistent delivery of top-tier baked goods.

**Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Training**
- Supervise and mentor the baking team, fostering a collaborative and professional environment
- Train staff on pastry, viennoiserie, and donut-making techniques
- Manage daily kitchen schedules and task assignments

**Production Oversight**
- Coordinate daily and weekly production plans based on café and wholesale needs
- Ensure product quality and consistency across French pastries, croissants, and donuts
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen workflow

**Inventory & Procurement**
- Track ingredient and supply levels; manage ordering and receiving
- Minimize waste through accurate forecasting and stock control
- Work closely with vendors to maintain the quality and freshness of supplies

**Health & Safety Compliance**
- Enforce all health and safety regulations and cleanliness protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain sanitation standards
- Train BOH staff on proper food handling and safety procedures

**Cross-Department Collaboration**
- Work with Front of House staff to ensure proper product display and service alignment
- Assist in the development and execution of seasonal menus and special orders

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience managing a professional kitchen in a bakery or pastry-focused environment
- Proven experience with **donut production**, including yeast-raised and cake varieties
- Deep knowledge of French pastry techniques and baking fundamentals
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- FoodSafe certification or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on kitchen environment

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
