**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We’re looking for a Café Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team, ensuring a seamless, efficient, and welcoming café experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, wellness-focused environment and has a passion for hospitality, leadership, and exceptional customer service.
As a key member of our team, you’ll oversee daily café operations, guide and support the team, and create an inviting atmosphere that reflects the heart of The Wellness Refinery. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role with growth potential, shaping both the team culture and the guest experience.
**EMPLOYMENT DETAILS**
- **Position Type**: Full-time, seasonal (May 7 - October 14)
- **Hours**:
- May: 15-20 hours/week
- Peak Season (Mid-June - September): 35-40 hours/week
- October: ~25 hours/week

**REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- 1+ year of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in hospitality
- 2+ years working in a café (barista skills), restaurant, or food-service setting
- Genuine interest in health and wellness, both personally and professionally
- Strong understanding of customer service, food safety, and workflow management
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and sales reporting
- Food Handlers & Smart Serve Certifications (required)
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Team Leadership & Training**
- Guide and support the café team, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Train new team members and foster an encouraging, high-energy work environment
- Lead by example, setting the standard for professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality
**Customer Experience & Service Flow**
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences through warm, friendly service and team coordination
- Engage with customers, sharing product knowledge and menu recommendations
- Maintain service efficiency and consistency, especially during peak hours
**Operational & Financial Oversight**
- Maintain café workflow and service structure, optimizing team efficiency
- Delegate and oversee opening and closing procedures
- Monitor ingredient and supply inventory, coordinating with the Managerial Team
- Perform end-of-day financial documentation and sales reports
**Quality & Cleanliness Standards**
- Ensure aesthetic upkeep and cleanliness of the café, maintaining an inviting atmosphere
- Implement and uphold safety and hygiene protocols
- Monitor and maintain product quality, consistency, and efficiency
