**Spiritual Care Practitioner**

**Permanent Full-Time**

**$31.93-$37.57 per hour (commensurate with experience)**

We are currently seeking qualified individuals to provide Spiritual and Religious Care services to the patients at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre and residents of St. Joseph's Villa. The spiritual care practitioners provide ‘spiritual care’ through caring, supportive listening, and prayer while possessing and integrating clinical skills with knowledge of self and religious, spiritual, philosophical, psychological, and cultural frameworks. They also plan liturgies and worship services for patients and residents, coordinate observances of religious feasts and support multi-faith programming and education. Additional functions include pastoral palliative and end-of-life care and support to patients, residents, families and staff dealing with grief and loss.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Master of Divinity or Master of Theological Studies or related field
- A minimum of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent and seeking to become CASC Certified Spiritual Care Practitioners
- Current registration with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC)
- Knowledge of the _Health Ethics Guide, 3rd ed, Catholic Health Alliance of Canada_ and the foundations of Catholic Healthcare.
- An understanding of and willingness to minister in a multi-faith, multicultural context
- Endorsement by a faith community
- Fluency in French and experience in healthcare settings are considered assets
