We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for performing complex skilled and technical work in the repair and maintenance of water and sewer systems, fixtures, and equipment. You will be required to report on work performed and maintain work activity logs using the Work Order Management system, Verisae.

Shift times are 11:00 am to 7:00pm but may be adjusted according to business needs. Must have flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and afterhours on-call shifts.

A service vehicle will be provided to travel between locations.

You will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing, installing, and repairing plumbing fixtures, pipes, water drainage systems and all other applicable plumbing related systems in a grocery store.- Testing and inspecting hot water tanks, backflow devices, reverse osmosis system, and other applicable plumbing fixtures.- Assembling, installing, maintaining, and pressure testing all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.- Determining sources of plumbing malfunctions and completing repairs as indicated or according to work orders.- Installing and repairing pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, water heaters, water softeners.- Repairing dishwashers and kitchen equipment that incorporate gas or water consumption.- Purchasing materials/hardware from approved accounts.- Ensuring accurate records of material and labor usage while maintaining inventory safety for district-owned tools, equipment, and materials.- Strictly following the applicable plumbing and building codes.- Assisting facilities maintenance team on an as needed basis.

You have:
- Five or more years of relevant plumbing experience with a fast-paced environment.- Plumbing Journeyman Red Seal Plumber Certification.- Certification in backflow prevention devices and either an A or B Gas Ticket is required.- Certification in Cross Connection Control devices.- A valid Class 5 BC driver’s license for travel between stores.- Ability to travel out-of-town on an as needed basis.- Extensive experience and willingness to learn plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.- Working knowledge of water supply, drains, heating, and understanding of construction plans.-
- Reverse Osmosis system and water testing experience is an asset.- Active Fall Protection/Lift Training is an asset.

Compensation Details:
$79,950.00 - $99,938.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
