Evening Shift Dispatcher

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Effectively communicate instructions and listen to all driver concerns and act appropriately as they relate to:

- Safety
- Drivers ability to perform their duties effectively
- Opportunities that would increase efficiency for both the Company and the customer
- Dispatch drivers using a fair and consistent approach
- Coordinate the daily assignment of company and contracted equipment to maximize equipment utilization.
- Schedule servicing of equipment as required with the shop personnel.
- Organize trailer interior washes are completed and costs are managed appropriately.
- Record orders in the dispatch management system in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Ensure all customer requirements are met and any changes or deviations are communicated immediately to the customer and other pertinent parties
- Bring any service failures to the attention of the customer service department and your direct manager
- Communicates effectively with drivers to ensure they can complete each load safely and within the Hours of Work regulations
- Coordinate customer payload requests and match the legal carrying capacity on equipment and jurisdiction while travel.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and inventory.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends and optimize routes for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to freight transportation.
- Maintain a professional phone etiquette while handling inbound and outbound calls.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline operations and improve service delivery.

**Requirements**:

- Transporation Experience
- 1 year of dispatch experience
- Proven experience in dispatching or a similar role within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Familiarity with AS400 systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, including freight management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to analyze logístical data for decision-making purposes.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
