**Position Summary**

The incumbent is responsible for various financial & accounting processes across the agency including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Process accounts payable invoices (operating expenses, utilities, staff expenses, special client/employer funds, etc.) and complete payments through various channels (credit card, eft, emt, cheques, cash).
- Process accounts receivable invoicing & statements and conduct credit collections.
- Process petty cash receipts and conduct reconciliations for various floats.
- Process debit/credit receipts, complete bank deposits & reconcile various banking fees and charges.
- Process payroll including staff payments, source deduction remittances, group insurance/RRSP payments, and miscellaneous payroll-related deductions.
- Conduct year-end and month-end processes and prepare corresponding working papers including bank reconciliations, department revenue & expenditure reports, vendor & customer statements, source deduction & benefit reconciliations, accrual adjustments & schedules of prepaid accounts/deposits.
- Prepare reports and gather data to assist in financial analysis tasks including budget-to-actual comparisons, expense projections, and department/program allocation redistributions.
- Accurately enter data into internal and/or external databases and produce reports as required by various stakeholders.
- Participate in various committees/groups (such as grant writing groups, special event committees, and business development sessions) and provide financial support as needed.
- Market and promote agency through participation in job fairs, community board involvement and professional and/or business associations.
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the Administration Team.

**Qualifications and Educational Requirements**
- Minimum of 2 years of postsecondary education or experience working in a similar role (accounting, business administration, customer service).
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be a team player that can accept responsibility and cooperate with others to accomplish organizational goals.
- Advanced computer skills and effective research skills utilizing internet resources and databases.
- Ability to multi-task; highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Capable of working efficiently and accurately under pressure; flexible to changing demands of the job.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral; attention to detail with ability to produce grammatically accurate
- Able to exercise discretion with personal and confidential information.
- Bilingualism (French/English) and asset.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to an insured vehicle is required for occasional travel outside the office.
- Current and clear criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening.

**Additional Notes**
- Travel outside the office will be necessary.
- May be required to work non-standard hours (evenings & weekends).
- Must have the ability to work from home as needed.
