**REQUIREMENTS**:

- _Preferred Experience: _At least 1 year in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities (Childcare, pre-k, kindergarten, day home, group care with children).
- _Education:_ Childcare CDS, Standard First Aid, Proof of Criminal Record Check with a vulnerable sector search. Flight Framework, Emergent curriculum, Positive Guidance, Child Development, Licensing Practices, Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP).
- _Characteristics: _This is a leadership position, so you should be self-motivated, have effective communication skills, and be decisive and passionate. It is also a creative role, so you must be open to personal and professional growth and constructive feedback. Strong administration skills in training, mentoring and fostering abilities with other educators to collaborate in their work and experience.
- _Food Preparation/ Kitchen Experience:_ Ability to use the Canada Food Guide to prepare food for children and be aware of dietary requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- _Empowering _children to grow, be positive and develop through meaningful interactions, as well as empowering staff through training and mentoring.
- _Always Supervise the safety of children and staff through monitoring and documentation._
- _Delegating_clear and concise expectations to other staff members to guarantee effective programming, safety, and cleanliness.
- _Implementing_engaging and purposeful activities and programming daily.
- _Communicating _with the owner, families, educators, community organizations and the school concisely, maintaining strong community connections.

**Salary**: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
