Reporting to the Manager, Digital Product & Design, the Product Owner will drive digital transformation initiatives, collaborating with IT, UI, UX, and other stakeholders to enhance Air Canada Vacations’ digital platforms. This role will drive key initiatives and take ownership of specified product areas while driving measurable business impact.
Define, own, and drive the product roadmap of assigned area, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Define and own the roadmap, balancing business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility.
- Translate business needs into high-quality product requirements, including user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria by balancing long-term strategic goals with immediate priorities.
- Collaborate with IT, UI, UX, and other business stakeholders to translate strategy into actionable development plans.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing to ensure timely deployments.
- Initiate user research ideas, competitive analysis, and user feedback to drive innovation and product improvements.
- Communicate progress, risks, and key decisions to senior management and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Product Management in a digital environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and product management tools
- Experience in Travel Technology or E-commerce is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to define product roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives.
- Experience with data-driven decision-making, including working with analytics tools will be an asset
- Proven skillset in prioritization frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence executives and technical teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
