**QA/QC Technician**
O'Doughs is a medium sized family owned Manufacturer located in North York. They are recognized as an International Allergen Friendly company that provides great-tasting, high quality and innovative products for people with food sensitivities and allergies.
- Performing product sensory evaluations daily and communicating quality concerns to Production Supervisors and follow up on corrective actions.
- Report any deviations from established product quality standards or non-conformities, which may result in a food safety assessment and possible placement of product on a QA hold.
- Effectively monitor shift sanitation, ensure daily and non-daily tasks are completed properly and timely with compliance of record keeping requirements.
- Effectively perform Glass and Brittle plastic inspection.
- Perform scale and thermometer calibration.
- Perform pre-operational inspection on operating equipment in the mixing/production areas before handing off for start-up.
- Monitor production/ mixing process and personnel GMP practice.
- Perform allergen check on process as outlined in the HACCP requirements.
- Inspect raw material, products and reports any deficiencies and off-spec product to Quality Assurance Manager.
- Involve in the sanitation inspection.
- Check the concentration of the chemicals.
- Check critical control points.
- Maintain retain sample & send sample to third party labs.
- Perform sensory evaluation of all batches mixed before they are processed.
- Check temperature of cooler, freezers, and humidity.
- Change temperature charts weekly.
- Monitor that employees on the line are filling out paperwork completely and correctly.
- Ensure raw and finished product follow all specifications: i.e., weight, placement in tray or case, packaging date, production and best before date, outside coding etc.
- Make sure product meets required specifications and segregates product that does not meet specifications and puts on QA Hold.
**Will be able to reliably commute or relocate to Toronto, ON for this job.**
