**Position Summary**
The primary purpose of the **Health & Safety Coordinator** is to provide administrative support to the De Havilland Health & Safety team. We are looking for a high energy individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, strong communication ability (both verbal and written) and a willingness to be adaptable to a changing environment. You have good initiative and are able to use appropriate judgement in your work, understanding how to prioritize work and adapt when requirements change, or deadlines move.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Support the development of H&S status reports, presentations, and other documentation
- Work in collaboration with the Health & Safety team and local management to engage in safety initiatives and corrective action's
- Assist with incident reporting at your home office as required
- Work with the Health & Safety team to organize and facilitate key initiatives within the organization (Ergonomic Programs, Learning Management Systems, Chemical Data Bases, and Safety Management Systems)
- Support the Health & Safety team as the document control administrator to ensure a regimented system is followed specific to re-formatting, review, publishing and distribution
- Support the efforts of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee
- Assists with monthly health and safety meetings and joint occupational health & safety committee meetings by researching topics for discussion, facilitating meetings, taking minutes, and assisting with action tracking.
- In coordination with the HR Business Partner, coordinates the location specific occupational health program including communicable disease tracking, reporting, and exposure contact tracing
- In coordination with the site HR Business Partner, administers the WSIB disability management program and assists with the return to work and modified duty programs
**Education and Professional Qualifications**:
- An Occupational certificate or diploma in Health and Safety
- Related Professional Certification is an asset
- Auditing experience with COR certification is an asset
**Experience**:
- 3+ years of Health and Safety experience in a similar role
**Skills**
- Advanced working knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Accurate and strong data entry and data analysis skills specific to digital platforms (HRIS, Learning and Safety Systems)
- Proven track record in managing multiple priorities, multitasking, and meeting deadlines in a busy environment where priorities may change quickly
- Strong ethics and the ability to provide a high degree of confidentiality
- Able to work with mínimal supervision/independently and collaboratively
- Problem solver
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Willingness and capacity to learn and advance within the Health, Safety and Human Resources team
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required
