The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and administration of safety procedures in-house and on project sites.Location: North York, ONEmployment: Full-timeHours: 40 hours/week, Monday - FridayJob Responsibilities / Duties:Assist with conducting toolbox talks, job hazard assessments, inspections and auditsDevelop construction project safety plans, monitor, and enforce worker and subcontractor complianceDevelop health and safety policies and programs, safe work practices and safe job proceduresConduct new worker training/orientation and maintain online training software programsMaintain statistics and recordsProvide guidance and support to the Joint Health and Safety CommitteeAssist with incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actionsManage WSIB claims and the return to work processProvide guidance to internal stakeholders on health and safety legislative requirements and best practicesQualifications:Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety requiredThree (3) to (5) years previous experience in occupational health & safety managementKnowledge and experience with the Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program requiredCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), National and Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designations considered an assetProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExceptional communication skills, both verbal and writtenEffective organizational skills with demonstated ability to multitask and meet deadlinesDemonstrated ability to build rapport and buy in with the ability to maintain confidentialityDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels within the organizationAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyPrecise ParkLink is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection processes and work environments.
