Role Overview

The Quote Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing all quotes for the Toronto Site. This team member will coordinate with the buyers, planners and engineering the results of new quotes. The quote coordinator will also be responsible for completing revaluation on the accounts to ensure alignment with the Finance team on outstanding credit & debits. Working closely with the supply base, they are accountable for material costing to effectively meet both the customer’s needs and our internal supply chain metrics.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with Program Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams within the Site in developing quote strategies to meet customer costing needs and targets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align material quotes and production quote templates with project requirements.
- Identify constraints devices for possible solution via customer engineering or Creation VAVE team for support long term supply chain objectives.
- Facilitate inventory consumption and revaluation impacts based on new quotes.
- Create and manage action plans to identify underperforming devices for inventory optimization or customer coverage.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier quotations and manage a comprehensive database of supplier information. Responsible for extracting quote data from databases or workbooks, obtaining additional information from other sources, and creating RFQ.
- Evaluate supplier quotes based on factors such as cost, quality, lead times, and contractual terms.
- Initiate communication with suppliers to request and negotiate material quotes. Identify and recommend enhancements that were introduced during quote period. Ensure clear communication with suppliers, including follow-ups for additional information and clarifications.
- Facilitate discussions with teams to adapt the planning system to new quotes and effectively review liability impact to the Site.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and continuous improvement of supplier performance.
- Perform special projects and ad-hoc reports as requested by Leadership.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five years of experience in Product Costing or Quoting Organizations in Technology EMS or OEMs Industries.
- Previous experience in procurement, quoting, or supply chain coordination, with a focus on material sourcing in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components and materials used in manufacturing.
- Knowledge and experience on the negotiation of electronics, mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
- Knowledge of Bill of Material Structure
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of cost analysis and cost-saving strategies.
- Experience with QuoteWin quoting software would be an asset

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Physical Demands
- No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally may be required
- Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers and copiers

Working Conditions
- The working environment is generally clean; however, the individual may be exposed occasionally to dust. ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection, safety clothing and gear is required while working in safety sensitive areas. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate.
