**Position Summary**:
Williams & Partners’ is seeking a full-time bookkeeper to join our growing team. The bookkeeper will execute full-service bookkeeping engagements for various clients of our practice. Reporting to the Senior bookkeeper and principal, the full-time bookkeeper with be responsible for recording all financial transactions, including cash, cheque and credit card payments, maintaining all financial records, completing required tax forms, processing payroll, and generating regular reports for our clients’ management team.
**Responsibilities and Duties, but not limited to**:
- Attentively receive and organize source documents into client files
- Accurately enter transactions for bank and cc, adhering to GAAP principals
- Possessing a strong understanding of multicurrency is an asset
- Validate client entered transactions for accuracy
- Use programs to calculate HST
- Calculate HST and reasonability testing, review P&L and locate any errors between Sales
- Locate and correct HST issues in tax modules of QB programs
- File HST with CRA (representative ID an asset)
- Calculate WSIB and file WSIB reports
- Calculate and prepare EHT reports
- Comply with relevant reporting requirements (GST/HST, WSIB, EHT)
- Prepare payroll accurately with vacation and source deductions
- Prepare payroll remittances per client reporting requirements
- Match TB from PY year and book adjusting entries
- Assist in document and report preparation for year-end review
- Review CRA accounts and interpret various reporting requirements
- Maintain filing system to save and organize client reports
- Professionally interact with clients and internally as required
**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of a Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll and bookkeeping principles
- 2+ years experience managing payroll
- Proficient using Quickbooks Desktop and Online, Sage 50 (Simply Accounting)
- Experience using Lonewolf, Sage 300, Spire, Caseware & TeamViewer knowledge considered to be a strong asset
- Professional, self-confident and organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently and along with being an exceptional team player.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
