Site Medical Lead will work in partnership with the Site Manager, and supported by the implementation team including Nanaimo Division of Family Practice leaders, to establish primary care provider services. With the Site Manager co-lead, the Site Medical Lead will work pro-actively others to establish team-based care and collaboration amongst Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and inter-disciplinary staff to support quality primary care and continuous improvement of services; including:

- Through regular clinical presence at the site, engage with PCPs to support provision of primary care services, including:

- Recruitment activities of PCPs including responding to inquiries, leading search/ selection processes and supporting onboarding
- Oversee scheduling and invoicing/billing processes
- Establish principles and processes to advance team based and integrated care amongst PCPs.
- Support the development of stabilization services for medically complex, unattached clients
- Collaborate with Indigenous Partners to create and embed a culturally safe health care environment and services.
- Develop an attachment protocol and participation in evaluation processes.
- Provide clinical leadership to support implementation and optimization of clinic EMR.
- With Site Manager, responsible for establishing administrative procedures to ensure appropriate standards of medical care.
- Responsible for compliance with the professional standards of the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives with regards to clinic operations (as opposed to individual practitioner professional standards).
- Create collaborative relationship with Site Medical Lead of the Medical Arts UPCC in support of shifting primary care for unstable, unattached patients to new PCN and optimizing community access to walk-in urgent care at Medical Arts.
