**Division Overview**:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Crown's North American Beverage Packaging Division has an opening for a temporary Human Resources Generalist at our manufacturing facility located in North York, Ontario. This facility manufactures aluminum cans for the beverage industry.

Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager (or Plant Manager), the Human Resources Generalist’s responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

- Act as a liaison between the plant floor and Human Resources with responsibility for all aspects of human resources in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Liaison with Corporate Human Resources team on various matters as member of company-wide Human Resources Team
- Provides hands-on employee relations and support to employees of Crown. Coordinate employee communications to keep employees informed
- Maintaining proper files at the plant location
- On the floor interactions with employees on all shifts, responding to employee issues/concerns in support of a positive employee relations’ environment
- Responsible for all of the areas before, during and after related to talent acquisition for the plant for salaried and hourly employees. This would include interviewing, background screening and reference checks
- Responsible for orientation/onboarding program for the employees
- Coordination of medical coverage and questions with Corporate
- HRIS system administration including payroll issues, employee data input, daily attendance, and other related areas
- Maintenance of employee files and records
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or a related discipline
- 2+ years in an HR role
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Provincial laws and regulations

Preferred Requirements
- Working towards Professional certification through HRPA
- AS400 experience
