**HR Generalist**

TNO - The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) is a well-established community-based social and health service agency providing a wide range of programs and services supporting low-income and newcomer communities across Ontario and sometimes across different provinces through online services and referrals. We are seeking one **HR Generalist **to join our team in a **permanent full-time **role.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace issues and coaching to resolve conflicts and enhance team dynamics.
- Support performance evaluation processes, including implementing performance improvement plans.
- Assist with employee disciplinary actions, including conducting internal investigations, documenting findings, and supporting termination processes, while ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Collaborate with the team to implement consistent and effective employee relations strategies.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, health and safety regulations, accessibility, and human rights legislation.
- Support the adoption of HR best practices.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Explore opportunities for using automation and AI to streamline the hiring and onboarding process.
- Assess training needs, create annual training plans, and deliver programs to fulfill organizational and legislative requirements.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and employee development programs.
- Partner on change management and innovation projects to foster a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Administer employee benefits, pensions, and compensation programs in collaboration with Payroll.
- Prepare and distribute HR documents, including offer letters, letters of employment, job announcements, and policy updates.
- Monitor and report HR metrics to inform organizational strategies and decision-making.
- Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Send exit interviews survey to gather feedback on the employee experience and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze exit interview data and trends to provide insights to management on employee retention and engagement.

**Screening** - As a condition of employment, the successful applicant must complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening.

**Job Type**: Full-Time permanent position

**Work Location(s)**: 10 Gateway Blvd, Toronto, M3C 3A1 and other TNO locations

**Schedule**: 35 hours per week
