**SUMMARY OF THE ROLE** Human Resources Coordinator (16-month maternity leave contract)**

The Human Resources Coordinator is a vital member of the HR team, responsible for providing administrative support, facilitating HR processes, and assisting both employees and management with a wide range of human resource matters. This position serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department and its alignment with organizational goals

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
Recruitment and Onboarding:

- Facilitate new employee orientations and onboarding processes, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork and training modules.
- Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records in HR information systems.
- Maintain filing systems and assist with records management for the department.

HR Administration:

- Organize and maintain confidential employee files, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Process a variety of employee status changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations

Employee Relations:

- Serve as the point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication and engagement initiatives.

Training and Development:

- Coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs
- Assist in tracking completion of mandatory training and certifications via internal HR systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for employee learning and growth

HR Projects and Initiatives:

- Participate in or lead HR-related projects, such as employee engagement surveys, wellness programs, and policy reviews.
- Support the implementation of new HR technologies or systems.
- Contribute to the development and updating of employee handbooks and HR policies.
- Perform other duties related to the general administration of the Human Resources department as required.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, best practices, and employment legislation.
- Experience with HR information systems and standard office software (MS Office Suite, SAP, ATS, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented approach.
