We are presently seeking a **Human Resources Generalist **to join our remarkable team. This is a **contract role** for a period of 12-18 months.
This full-time position resides on-site.
**Responsibilities**
**Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition**
- Partner with leaders to identify and plan workforce requirements
- Manage full cycle recruitment
- Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent
- Lead all onboarding
**Health & Safety**
- Oversee and ensure compliance to all OH&S programs, policies and practices
- Coordinate training for all employees
- Act as member of the JHSC providing support on activities (i.e. meetings, inspections & investigations)
- Claims management
**Compensation & Benefits**
- Oversee payroll functions using Ceridian PowerPay
- Research competitive market pay practices to help recruit and retain top performers
- Benefits administration
**Employee Relations**
- Advise managers on progressive discipline system and counsel on employment issues
- Participate in investigations, handle employee concerns, monitor and report updates to Managers/Supervisors
**Company Culture**
- Build and enhance employee engagement and retention
- Organize company events with help from social committee
- Provide written communications to company
**Performance Management**
- Provide leadership and coaching to department managers/supervisors on all aspects of performance management
- Identify employee development opportunities
- Help managers develop KPI’s for their departments
- Assist with performance reviews
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or related discipline
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role is an asset
- In depth understanding of Employment Standards, Human Rights, and H&S legislation
- Excellent organizational, communication (oral/written), project/time management, report writing, research, problem solving and leadership skills
- Experience in Manufacturing is an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
