Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Edmonton, Canada McCOR Management Full time

This role will administer the compensation and benefits programs for staff in Western Canada.

**Responsibilities**:

- Processing payroll for staff in ADP Work Force Now program
- Coordinating benefits programs via Manulife
- Administration of company pension plan with Manulife.
- Processing new hires, employees changes, and terminations
- Payroll reporting including: journal entries, receiver general, salary variance, vacation payouts, payroll funds transfer, and corporate invoice summary
- Reconcile Manulife statements and do cheque requisitions
- WCB quarterly and annual reporting
- Monitor ASO balance and check float review
- Maintain personnel and payroll filing
- Vacation and sick time tracking
- Ad hoc reporting as needed

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of payroll experience
- ADP Work Force Now experience preferred
- Relevant Post Secondary Education
- Must provide a clean criminal record check
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships; team player
- Effective time management, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
