We are looking for a Product Management Lead to join our team. Reporting to the Product Management and Delivery Enablement
Manager, the Product Management Lead is responsible for setting up the Product Management processes and leading the team that
enables product management and Agile delivery, while working as a Technical Product Owner themselves until the team has
matured. This role possesses an in-depth knowledge of product management, Agile delivery, and Manitoba Hydro's technical
architecture that is utilized across various products, which is primarily Microsoft 365 (M365), Power Platform, and Esri. This role
collaborates closely with business leaders, Business Product Owners, and dedicated product squads, including business analysts,
designers, developers, and architects, to ensure product management principles are followed to be able to bring product vision to
fruition.

Key to success in this role is having experience growing new capabilities as a front-line leader and a robust understanding of
Information Technology principles, processes, and technologies alongside expertise in Product Management and Agile development
methodologies. Additionally, project, product, and leadership skills are required to be able to effectively collaborate and orchestrate
work across various business and technology colleagues in a matrixed fashion.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Create the strategy for product management and Agile approaches at Manitoba Hydro.
- Plan a roadmap to establish product management processes and capabilities while scaling the team to meet demand.
- Define roles and responsibilities for technical and business resources on product squads.
- Encourage technical and business SMEs to adopt a product and Agile mindset so they can be prepared to work with
- Technical Product Owners to deliver value from products.
- Provide leadership for Technical Product Owners from the ideation through to the delivery phases, ensuring continuous
- improvement.
- Provide leadership to product squads so they can work in a matrix team environment.
- Manage the team Azure DevOps Boards, tracking individual work items and providing team summaries and reports.
- Lead daily stand-up meetings.
- Measure and report on the progress and value of products being managed.
- Ensure the Technical Product Owners have a product roadmap and are orchestrating business and technical resources to
- work together in an Agile method to deliver incremental product releases using a sprint methodology.
- Ensure the Agile Delivery Specialist is supporting product and non-product delivery utilizing Agile and SAFe best practices.
- Develop, present, and manage personas, internal customer journeys, and value maps.
- Act as a Technical Product Owner when required.
- Cultivate a working environment that fosters collaboration, minimum viable product mindset, and progressive attitude towards

change.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- A four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related disciplines

from a university of recognized standing with a minimum of six years of directly applicable experience.
OR
- A two-year diploma from an institute of recognized standing with a minimum of eight years of directly applicable experience.
- Experience leading technical and Product Delivery teams, including implementing products in a complex, matrixed
- organization, preferably in the Power and Utilities sector.
- Experience in mobilizing product teams, maturing teams to scale, and creating a product-smart culture within organizations.
- Very strong knowledge of and/or experience with Agile methodologies, development, and delivery.
- Training and work experience in Six-Sigma, lean, or equivalent business process improvement framework.
- Experience with internal customer journey and value stream mapping, customer segment, and persona development.
