Internal Communications Associate

**Scope of Position**
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Internal Communications Associate translates business strategies into key messages, develops appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies. The Associate articulates our corporate values, and executes and drives programs that create excitement, drive employee engagement and awareness, and align teams to positively shape corporate culture.
**Major Responsibilities**
- Helps create a best-in-class internal communications function across the company that fuels employee engagement, influences connectivity and culture, positively impacting all offices/branch locations
- Employee Engagement Committee Member, and primarily manages the communications needs
- Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate, and integrated with firm priorities and themes
- Uses internal tools as appropriate to maximize the firm’s internal communication effectiveness and ensures consistent messaging, branding, imagery, and identity
- Assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of internal employee events as needed and appropriate
- Assists in writing and editing impactful and engaging content that effectively describes and promotes programs and initiatives in support of company goals and culture
- Works with appropriate internal stakeholders to create and maintain content for employee communication channels, and partners with the broader Marketing and IT teams to explores/recommend new channels or technologies where possible
- Implements metrics reports to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels and measures internal communications with the goal of continuously improving internal communications strategy to reach and engage employees.
- Other duties as assigned when required to support the overall communications team
**Qualifications**
**Education / Certifications / Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, English or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant communications experience in a similar role at this level; work experience in financial services, management consulting or other professional services firm strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in writing and editing communications content including web, digital and social media
- Knowledge of Human Resources communications an asset

- Possesses outstanding oral and written communications skills including superior writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and develop solutions that meet business needs that align to overall strategic goals
- Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative
- Project management acumen with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high-quality results within deadlines
- Ability to work together to build relationships across the organization to embrace our corporate values of collaboration, Integrity and respect
