**Description of the Position**:
The Associate, Community Partnerships is part of a dynamic team of fundraisers assisting the community hosting their own events and raising net proceeds for priority areas of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
As an Associate, you will manage a $750,000.00 portfolio of third-party Community Partnerships and DIY Fundraisers. Acting as the primary relationship manager, you will develop, cultivate and steward supporters to ensure continued success and growth. Many of your relationships will be with patient families or those with a strong personal connection and affinity to SickKids. You are part of a passionate, dedicated team of professionals collaborating to deliver a best-in-class donor experience and achieve transformational growth in fundraising. This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Community Partnerships.
**You will**:
- Manage onboarding for all Go Fundraise donors (SickKids Foundation's Do It Yourself fundraising platform)
- Work collaboratively with Manager and Associate Director, Community Partnerships to develop and execute annual planning and stewardship of DIY Go Fundraise donors
- Provide trends and insights about DIY Go Fundraise to the Manager and Associate Director, Community Partnerships for revision or development of new DIY retention and growth strategies
- Manage, build and grow meaningful and effective relationships with third party event donors, raising between $5,000.00 and $50,000.00 by providing event support, including expertise, materials/supplies, attendance at events and providing excellent customer service
- Identify opportunities to collaborate with the donor to maximize and grow the third-party event potential, including meeting and exceeding the fundraising revenue target
- Identify opportunities to grow and retain existing business through strategic development and execution of individual and departmental initiatives
- Participate in the planning, analysis and strategy of the Community Partnerships team, including but not limited to providing input into team processes, plan administration, system and program implementation
- Work collaboratively with various Foundation teams to build strong relationships to ensure successful outcomes from community events
- Consult with and manage relationships within a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders including hospital staff, family/community donors, prospects and volunteers
**Required Skills**:
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Fundraising, Non-Profit Management, Project Management or another related field
- 3+ years’ experience in fundraising, preferably in third party or DIY event fundraising
- Experience working with fundraising platforms: OneCause, Luminate, Frontstream or Funraisin
- Superior relationship management skills, with the ability to understand and respond to various levels of expectations from diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work with diaspora and/or newcomer communities
- Strong project management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects with various timelines and handle competing and changing priorities
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365
- Ability to drive initiatives, be resourceful, creative and flexibl
