Reporting to the Regional Supervisor of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for recording, processing and tracking of invoices and employee expense claims, scheduling vendor payments, printing and managing cheques, uploading & downloading payment details to & from the bank, monitoring of accounting entries, vendor and employee account setup and payment activities as well as any other accounts payable duties as required. Some paid inter-site travel may be required.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Graduate of a Secondary School Diploma.
- College level course in bookkeeping or accounting
- Recent experience (within last 2 years) in computerized Accounts payable functions in a high-volume setting
- Strong financial background in a high-pressure, time sensitive computerized environment
Proficient Keyboarding skills
- Knowledge of month-end procedures in a multi-site work environment preferred.
- Meditech A/P system experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team setting
- Working Knowledge of relevant office equipment. (Fax machine, Voice Mail, Photocopier, Laser Printers, Website)
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
