**About us**:
Advantage Tutors provides 1-1 evidence-based support for students. Our mission is to allow every child the opportunity to read. We offer structured literacy using evidence-based, systematic reading and math programs.

We are currently seeking one **Numeracy Tutor** to deliver **in-person and/or virtual math instruction** to students, particularly in intermediate grades.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver 1:1 or small group instruction in French/English following structured, research-backed methods (training provided).
- Deliver engaging lessons to address students' specific math needs.
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies to support student learning.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods as necessary to ensure comprehension and skill development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, including assessment results, session notes, and recommendations for further improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- **For the French Position: Fluency in French** and comfort teaching French language learners.
- Strong knowledge of **early math instruction**(structured literacy experience is a strong asset).
- Experience working with students who have **dyslexia, ADHD, or other learning needs**.
- Willingness to complete training in structured numeracy.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a passion for helping students thrive.
- Ability to work **in-person** with students at homes, libraries, or community centers in Winnipeg or online.
- Must pass a **Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check**.
