The Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Coordinator to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Local Government House including coordination of all building maintenance and upkeep. The Office Coordinator will coordinate facility-related services and liaise with external vendors and service providers to address any maintenance needs. In addition to the building coordination responsibilities, this position will provide general administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations within the office.

**The Organization**
UBCM is a member driven association formed in 1905 to provide a common voice for local governments in BC. UBCM’s vision is to effectively represent and serve all local governments in BC by being the recognized advocate for their common interests and by meeting the common needs of our membership. UBCM achieves this through policy work, program management and member services.
Convention continues to be the main forum for UBCM policy-making. It provides an opportunity for local governments of all sizes and from all areas of the province to come together, share their experiences and take a united position.
With two offices in Richmond and Victoria, UBCM has a small and dynamic team of dedicated staff who are focused on representing and serving all local governments in BC. Our staff take pride in all that they do.
**Job Requirements**
- Diploma in office administration or other relevant discipline, preferred
- Must have 2 years of relevant experience, providing administrative services
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail when communicating
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, manage multiple priorities and consistently produce results within timelines
- Able to interpret, manage, and coordinate large volumes of information
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients (including elected officials) and members of the public while providing excellent service and upholding the highest standards of tact, discretion and professionalism
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and able to use other standard office and accounting software

**Salary**
Starting at $62,924 annually, $2,622 semi-monthly (2025 rates).
