Fibrex, a division of VPC Group Inc., is looking for a **permanent full-time** Maintenance Supervisor to support its manufacturing operation in Winnipeg, MB.

The Maintenance Supervisor, reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operations of the physical plant Services unit in accordance with company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines and regulations and safety process and procedures. The position is responsible for safe maintenance of the facility. The main areas of responsibilities are Equipment Maintenance, building maintenance.
- Supervision of facility maintenance personnel.
- Daily planning and scheduling of work and assist in troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance and work order program.
- Ensure company HS&E and other policies are complied with.
- Ensure the performance, condition, and reliability of all plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation of all equipment. (e.g. equipment, boilers, fire protection system & electrical distribution)
- Design plant improvements and implement as required to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
- Standardize procedures and engineering changes.
- Manage Maintenance inventory, order materials and equipment as required.
- Arrange with outside contractor to perform work outside the scope of maintenance department.
- Ensure that outside services are properly supervised and completed in accordance with contracts or work orders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
- Responsible for equipment, buildings exterior and interior maintenance.
- Involved in preparing and planning units operating and capital budget, and forecast unit expenditures.
- Supervise projects to ensure completion according to plans and budget.
- Project assignments as required.

**Requirements**:

- Certified Engineering technician or higher qualification or skilled tradesman with sufficient previous supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in a commercial or automotive urethane production environment an asset.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques.
- Strong people organization and management skills.
- Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
- Demonstrate project management skills.
- Ability to manage departmental budgets.
- Prior supervisory experience, combined with knowledge of employment and health, safety and environment policies and legislation.
- Good computer skills (AUTOCAD, PM software, spreadsheets)
- Knowledge of PLC systems with ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Well-developed problem solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
- Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices as needed.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
- Strong negotiation and prioritization skills.
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

**Working Conditions**:

- May require work in hazardous environments requiring protective equipment
- May be exposed to dust and high noise levels.
- May be required to work in confined spaces, on ladders, rooftops, and in unfavorable weather conditions
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- May be required to work irregular hours.
