**Mill Creek Motor Freight** is seeking a professional Logistics Coordinator to join our team located in Ayr, ON

The position is permanent full-time and offers a competitive pay package with company benefits after 90 days.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Co-ordinates freight to the appropriate / qualified carrier
- Ensures the accurate and timely processing of information to and from carriers
- Establish a well-rounded understanding of Mill Creek’s customers and network
- Work with sales on logistics network needs
- Work with pricing and analytics team to properly rate existing and new business opportunities
- Work closely with asset division to maximize the coverage of customer and transitional freight
- Keep Customer Service up to date on the movement of carriers and any special needs or concerns
- Ensure that all government regulations and company policies are adhered too, ensure carrier contracts and terms comply with Mill Creek procedures
- Strengthen carrier relations to support growth of brokerage division
- Develop a strategy to grow Mill Creek’s brokerage division and diversify it away from an asset overflow model to a true logistics service offering

**Qualifications**
- 2 years or more experience in transportation logistics
- Strong computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- The ability to negotiate
- Good organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work as a team
- Must have own transportation

**Experience**

Minimum of 2 Years trucking/logistics
