**Job Overview**

9-5:30, 4 days per week.
The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the healthcare facility. This position involves providing administrative support, managing patient interactions, and assisting healthcare professionals with daily tasks. The MOA is responsible for maintaining an organized environment, facilitating communication between patients and staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in medical administration within a professional healthcare setting.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient calendars efficiently.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical histories.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with privacy laws.
- Prepare and process billing, insurance claims, and payments.
- Support healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and handling administrative documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting areas.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.

**Requirements**:

- Certification in medical assisting. Experience with Accuro a bonus.
- Prior experience in medical office administration or related field is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and billing procedures is desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Must be reliable, professional, and demonstrate a compassionate attitude toward patients. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to contribute to quality healthcare delivery while developing their administrative expertise in a dynamic medical environment.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
