**Job Description**:
AECOM Burnaby is currently seeking a Systems Installations Specialist with skills in Transportation Systems to join our multidisciplinary Western Canada Systems Engineering team and work on delivering an existing and future portfolio of projects.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
+ Provide overall on-site management for a wide range of system installation projects.
+ Organize system installation work and supporting activities in close coordination with other disciplines.
+ Coordinate the execution of system installation work and related activities with design team, vendors and installation contractors.
+ Author Post Installation Check-Out (PICO) test procedures, witness PICO testing, and review/accept PICO reports.
+ Manage installation contractors to ensure all their contractual obligations and deliverables are met.
+ Coordinate reviews of As-Built redlines from installation contractors.
+ Support project team members, enlisted vendors and installation contractors to facilitate their work and access to site.
+ Collaborate with all necessary participants to overcome unexpected challenges related to installation activities.
+ Support and facilitate site work beyond the installation stage, such as assisting in the coordination and witnessing of testing & commissioning activities.
+ Be the primary AECOM contact for all jobsite day-to-day activities within assigned area of operations.
+ Interface with all administrative field staff, field management staff, design staff, T&C staff, project management and others in a coordinated effort.
+ Provide real-world practical insight and guidance to Systems design team and to other design disciplines to enable them to generate informed designs that will consider installation challenges and lessons learned on the field.
+ Participate in project bid efforts by offering Systems installation expertise in an effort to produce well-informed proposals.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
+ Bachelor Degree + 8 years experience OR Technical Diploma + 10 years experience OR Highschool + 12 years experience in systems installation work for rail and transit projects.
+ Driver’s License
**Preferred Qualifications**:
+ 12 years or more of relevant experience is preferred.
+ Experience in installation of Power Supply & Distribution systems.
+ Experience in installation of MEP and building systems.
+ Familiar with other design disciplines typically influencing systems installation efforts such as Architectural, Structural, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical.
+ Familiar with non-technical disciplines typically involved in systems installation work such as Project Management, Requirements Management, Verification & Validation, RAM, Safety Assurance, Quality Management and others.
+ Experience supporting testing & commissioning support.
+ Excellent site safety track record.
+ Able to work with minimum supervision.
