Join our collaborative Finance team at Squirrel Systems Canada as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and approve sales orders; process and post credit card payments.
  • Perform routine collections activities on overdue accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Reconcile daily cheque deposits and ensure accurate ledger entries.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding account status and billing.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements and reports.
  • Resolve account discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Coordinate with collection agencies as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Implementations, etc.) to support company goals.
  • Assist in implementing the new accounting system (NetSuite) and optimize processes through technology.
  • Perform additional accounting duties as assigned.

Desired Skills / Experience / Education

  • Experience:
    Minimum 2 years in Accounts Receivable or Collections within a B2B environment.
  • Education
    : University-level accounting courses or an Accounting diploma preferred.

  • Strong ability to manage collections diplomatically and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Interest in leveraging technology to improve financial processes.

Salary Range for this position is between CAD $54,000 to $60,000, the final salary for the right candidate will be determined based on the education, skills and relevant experience.
