**Duties and responsibilities**

As the Marketing Assistant, **key duties** will include, but not limited to the following:

- Supports Business/Marketing Manager in organizing and developing various marketing projects
- Ensures company’s website is up-to-date and consistent with marketing initiatives
- Designs web pages and ensures that they are user & SEO friendly, while visually effective
- Makes changes to the company’s website and updates current information as needed
- Tests website for functionality and as per user requirements
- Designs brochures, posters, booklets, and other print material
- Designs graphics for use on company’s website, social media, and other digital or print material
- Designs/Edits videos (i.e., explainer videos, infographic videos, animated videos, corporate videos, short ad videos, etc.)
- Maintains social media accounts active with daily posts
- Employs marketing analytics techniques to gather data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.) and provides monthly statistics reports
- Plans and manages ad campaigns such as Google AdWords, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.
- Assists in the organization of company’s promotional events
- Other duties as per required

**Qualifications**

**Expertise and Experience**:

- 3 + years of work experience in the marketing field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Details Oriented.
- Knowledge of SEO and/or other digital marketing tools (an asset)
- Proficient with social media tools (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google My Business)
- Knowledge of current marketing trends
- Proficient with editing/imaging software & tools: WordPress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher, Microsoft Office, HTML/Other coding languages, Adobe After Effects, Canva
- Strong and creative graphic design skills
- Able to work individually and collaboratively
- Familiarity with Video and image editing
- Familiarity with film and photography as an asset

**Education**
- Diploma or Certificate in Marketing/ Digital Marketing/Graphic Design required
- High School required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing as an asset

**Working conditions**
- Hybrid (in person & remotely) attending meeting in the office, functions, and industry events.
- Travelling availability: local/international.
- Full time ( Mondays to Fridays )

**Additional terms**
- _**Salary based on qualifications and experience.**_
- 3 Months contract with possibility of extension.
- Legally allowed to work in Canada
- Valid passport

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
