We are looking for a talented Banquet Supervisor to lead our banquet department. If you are interested in hospitality, learning more about the administrative side of event planning, and developing a team with one of Canada's fastest-growing hospitality groups - this is the role for you
As a Banquet Supervisor, you have the opportunity to develop and mentor the team of banquet servers, uphold standards for your department and have a direct impact on the success of the location. You will work directly with talented chefs, the Banquet Manager, restaurant leaders, and the hotel division.

THE ROLE:
- Actively lead the shift, in support of senior leadership, while helping to manage budgetary goals.
- To direct and control events in the facility at an excellent level while maintaining and abiding by all standards, policies, and/or procedures set forth by our company.
- Ensure event space is set correctly, food is presented well, and service goes off without a hitch.
- Banquet event execution and managing quality assurance.
- Inspect Banquet areas at end of a function to ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are clean
- Work directly with the event coordinators or hosts, and problem-solve in the moment when addressing questions or concerns that may arise during or before service.
- Ensure complete guest satisfaction and guest connection throughout each shift
- Manage clients efficiently, including setting up meetings, forwarding contracts, billing, etc.
- Review & Respond to online guest feedback
- Assist with site visits, walkthroughs, and inspections
- Assist with inventory, stock, and product orders.
- Provide coverage for Banquet & Catering Manager.
- Deliver feedback and coaching to the banquet team.
- Demonstrate leadership by building positive team morale.
- Providing training, leadership, and mentorship for our banquet team.
- Identifying skill and leadership potential in your crew and developing those exceptional individuals into higher roles within our company.
- Manage the floor staff by ensuring team members are dressed in uniform, and providing exceptional guest service in a friendly yet speedy manner.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 1-year Banquet Server Experience
- Hospitality driven with exceptional guest service skills,
- Attention to detail & highly organized
- Impromptu problem-solving skills when dealing with internal and external conflict
- Exceptional communication skills, acting as a liaison between clients & guests, staff, management, and other hotel departments
- High stamina, and ability to lift 20 lbs
- Desire and ability to earn the respect of your team
- Ability to create a positive working environment and provide ongoing positive feedback to colleagues, even during big events, resolving conflicts
- Enthusiastic and inspiring
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule
- Fluent in English
