**Position Overview**
As the Construction Project Manager at Kenmare Developments, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality construction projects. From pre-construction through to project completion, you will ensure that our developments are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, hands-on management, and strong relationship-building skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Construction Project Manager at Kenmare Developments, you will:
**Project Planning and Management**
- Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects align with timelines and financial constraints.
- Manage the tendering and bid process for contractors and vendors.
**Construction Oversight**
- Monitor on-site activities to ensure quality standards, safety protocols, and project milestones are met.
- Address and resolve any project-related issues promptly to maintain progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Team Leadership**
- Lead and manage construction teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among all parties.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on next steps.
**Budget and Cost Control**
- Track project expenditures and ensure they align with approved budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage change orders effectively.
**Documentation and Reporting**
- Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
- Provide detailed project updates to senior management, highlighting risks, solutions, and milestones achieved.
**Qualifications**
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (preferred).
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction project management, particularly in residential, multi-family, or mixed-use developments.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and within scope.
**Skills**:
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or similar tools.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, characterized by proactive opportunity identification, innovative problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
**Knowledge**:
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in Manitoba and Ontario.
- Understanding of sustainable construction practices and energy-efficient building techniques.
