Wilco Contractors Northwest are looking to add wide variety of qualified applicants to our Underground Water & Sewer team.
Current Opportunities include:

- Foremen
- Pipelayer
- Topman
- Experienced Water & Sewer Labourers

Duties Include:

- Measuring and configuring pipe routes.
- Laying pipe to design grade and ensuring proper tamping of pipe.
- Gathering material and installation tools.
- Locating installed piping systems using magnetic or radio indicators.
- Removing old or broken piping systems.
- Checking pipe alignment and sealing pipes with cement glue.
- Installing auxiliary lines.
- Sealing exposed pipe joints and fittings.
- Filling and sealing pipe trenches.

**Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Pipelayer.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as either a Pipelayer or skilled Labourer **_in a utility installation setting_**.
- Knowledge of sewer systems, storm drains, and water mains.
- Possess a minimum valid Class 5 driver's license **with reliable vehicle**.
- CSTS2020 is a condition of Employment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and city maps.
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects frequently.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Able to complete tasks with mínimal supervision.
