"We take pride in our employees, safety and workmanship" Currently seeking to add a **WATER & SEWER TOP MAN**to our team. **Title**: Top Man **Location**: Edmonton, AB **Position Type**: Seasonal Full Time **Reporting To**: Underground Foreman **Responsibilities and Duties** - Ensure pipe is installed and embedded properly and on grade using proper practices and materials required - monitor, control and adjust as necessary - Record trench and pipe grading via laser, level and rod or batter boards - Inspection of pipe, materials and tools prior to all usage - Rigging and lowering of all materials into ditch in a safe and proper manner - Prepare and help laborers throughout the day, directing junior crew members - Setting up track line - Lining up service connection locations, CB’s, MH’s, etc. - Act as the main watch point for hazards, ladders, slopes, etc. - Monitor and control water in trenches - Perform other duties as required - Understand and follow direction from supervisor - Maintain cleanliness in working areas - Follow health and safety policies **Qualifications and Skills** - Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a top man in underground utilities - High attention to detail and problem solving - Ability to communicate effectively - Must have own means of transportation - Physically capable - Able to work in a fast paced environment - Valid class 5 driver's license - Thorough understanding of construction safety site practices - Ability to work weekends and overtime shifts when required **Benefits** M.A.P.
