**MANAGER OF CLINICAL PROGRAMS**

Choices for Change Alcohol, Drug & Gambling Counselling Centre (CFC) and Resilience Huron

Perth Mental Health (RHP), are in the process of an integration of the two organizations. Once integrated, the organization will provide community based mental health and addiction services to the communities of Huron Perth and area. Services include, but are not limited to, mental health and addiction case management, counselling, peer support, housing and court support/release from custody. We are currently in the process of recruitment for the leadership team to support the approximately 100 employees to continue to provide quality addiction and mental health services to the community.

**POSTION SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Programs, the Manager of Clinical Programs will provide program co-ordination and development, as well as clinical supervision to the clinical staff across multiple programs. The location for the provision of these services will vary throughout

Perth and Huron County. Travel is required. The incumbent will support the Director of Clinical

Services to ensure the alignment of services to achieve improved/enhanced client care at both the strategic and community level, as well as at the operational or client care level.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION**:Minimum Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social work or health related discipline, and/or related experience. Masters level in same is preferred **. **Registration in a Professional College.

**RELATED EXPERIENCE**: Two to three (2-3) years recent and relevant experience in a management capacity in an organization responsible for the delivery of health or social service. Knowledge of serious mental illness and addiction, including treatment, gained by experience working with this population would be an asset. Experience in a community health care setting would be an asset.

Other necessary skills include, building teams, decision-making and problem solving, good communication skills and analytical skills. In addition, the incumbent will demonstrate integrity and ethics, good coping skills, flexibility and commitment to the work.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide regular clinical supervision, mentoring and coaching to clinical staff, including performance management and professional development
- Ensure an effective program for staff development, orientation, training and evaluation
- Provide day-to-day support to clinical teams (e.g. scheduling, problem solving)
- Ensure delivery of the team’s clinical services is consistent with the agency’s clinical vision and objectives
- Ensure implementation of clinical tools and process improvements
- Monitor adherence to policies and procedures required to provide appropriate delivery and use of clinical services
- Ensure the maintenance of appropriate casework documentation by clinical staff
- Develop and revise clinical policies and procedures and ensure implementation
- Participate in and/or lead quality improvement and program development projects and activities, working alongside staff, management and client advisors
- Establish and maintain clinical standards in line with accreditation expectations and develop improvement strategies
- Develop and support effective teamwork and collaboration across the organization and with community partners
- Assist in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with community groups and agencies and coordinating and integrating program services within the community
- On-going supervision, guidance and feedback to all assigned staff, ensuring compliance with agency human resource policy, Ministry guidelines and employment standards
- Approval of special client need requests, vacation requests, travel claims and relevant expenditure claims
- Serves as the staff resource on various internal and external committees and task forces as assigned and represents the Organization’s positions.
- Practices leadership by demonstrating continuous quality improvement, including monitoring, analyzing trends and developing and implementing remedies
- In addition to specific key job responsibilities identified in this position description, the incumbent is also responsible to contribute and support the overall culture and working environment of the Organization

**Salary range: $75,662-$85,520**
