Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll/Accounts Payable Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accurate and timely payroll processing as well as overseeing accounts payable functions within the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Process and distribute bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain employee payroll records and update changes as required (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, deductions, etc.)
- Reconcile payroll accounts, resolve discrepancies, and prepare reports for management
- Collect and review timesheets, verifying attendance, and hours worked calculations
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues promptly to maintain strong vendor relationships
- Follow up with employees/vendors regarding outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Stay updated with payroll and accounts payable laws, regulations, and best practices, making necessary recommendations for process improvement
- Accounts receivable receipting and collection.
- Posting of EFT's for Accounts Receivable
**Assets**:
- Working knowledge in payroll and accounts payable function, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
**Salary**: $47,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
