**Position**:Advancement and Events Coordinator

**Reports to**: Head of Advancement and Special Projects

As part of the Advancement Team, the Advancement and Events Coordinator will create opportunities for members of our school community and exemplify good stewardship of our supporters’ contributions.

Supporting the Advancement Department, the Coordinator will:

- process gifts in an accurate and timely manner using Raiser’s Edge
- manage the Blackbaud Merchant System for online donations and event tickets
- create donation and event reports for the Finance Department and donor publications
- personalize acknowledgements and letters of gratitude
- maintain accurate event budgets and reports
- assist with sponsorship commitment fulfillments
- maintain strict confidentiality and act with discretion
- update donation and constituent information in the database

The Advancement Team will plan and facilitate opportunities for engagement for members of our school community, with special events and initiatives, including but not limited to the Annual Tribute Dinner, Homecoming, Class Reunions, Golf Tournaments, Fashion Show, Crusader Raffle and Crusader Magazine.

In the planning of events and initiatives, the Advancement Team will rely on the Advancement and Events Coordinator to:

- provide creative ideas and thoughtful details to build connections and engage our community at our events
- create, maintain and distribute Event Plans and Critical Paths for each event
- maintain budgets and attendee lists
- coordinate the “wrap up” events with the submission of post-event reports and financials
- manage event ticket receipting and sponsor invoicing
- support the administration of the Crusader Raffle
- assist with the editing and distribution of the Crusader Magazine

Other duties as assigned by the Head of Advancement and Special Projects or the President, including projects required as we move towards the centenary of the school.

**Educations & Experience**:
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Ability to think creatively, take initiative, solve problems and prioritize tasks
- Experience with Microsoft Office and having an aptitude for learning as required
- Experience with Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge) is an asset
- Ability to maintain high professional standards including maintaining strict confidentiality, managing sensitive information and acting with discretion
- General knowledge of education administration and Jesuit, Catholic education
