**Role Description**

Reporting to the Manager
- Events & Sponsorship, this role is responsible for assisting with the development, production, and delivery of our annual events and supporting the ongoing development and coordination of our sponsorship program. As part of a small but high-performing team, you will have the opportunity to be creative and innovative and make a difference for our industry members and stakeholders.

**The Skills We Are Looking For**:

- **Event Planning & Management**: Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and execute events of various sizes and formats, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to completion.
- **Budgeting & Financial Management**: Experience in managing and reconciling event budgets to optimize resources and maximize ROI.
- **Event Partner Coordination**: Skilled in managing relationships with vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure high-quality services within budget.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders, sponsors, and attendees.
- **Technology Proficiency**: Experience using project or event management software, online registration systems, spreadsheets, and other digital tools to streamline planning and execution.
- **Project Management**: Proven track record of handling multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and managing time effectively.
- **Problem-Solving**: Quick thinker who can troubleshoot issues on the fly, ensuring events run smoothly even under pressure.

- **Client & Stakeholder Engagement**: Build strong, professional relationships with sponsors, event partners, and members, providing exceptional service and communication.
- **Time Management**: Efficiently manage your time and prioritize tasks, balancing the demands of multiple events and deadlines.

The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (AMBA) is the collective voice of the mortgage brokerage industry in Alberta. Through advocacy, education, information, and networking, AMBA develops a standard of excellence for its members and promotes an ethical and sustainable mortgage industry for consumers and industry members. Founded in 1975, AMBA is an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to highly ethical business principles and advancing the industry’s high integrity and professionalism.

**A Note on Remote Work**

This position, like all positions at AMBA, is an _**in-office role.**_ Through experience, we have learned that at AMBA, we do our best creative work when we are together in person. However, we offer flexible Fridays for our team, allowing them to work from home if their schedules permit.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
