Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will facilitate and oversee all aspects of plant and equipment maintenance. As the Maintenance Manager, you will support the overall objective of achieving the most efficient, effective, and economical plant operation while ensuring health and safety, food safety and quality requirements. **The facility is a 24/7 operation flour mill.**

**Your day to day activities will include**:

- Provide direction and leadership through effective coaching and mentoring
- Maintain an effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) program
- Maintain transparent and effective communication with Production, QA, and OH&S teams
- Plan and oversee installation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery which includes plant equipment, piping systems, pneumatic systems, and facility structure / services
- Provide recommendations and suggestions to address plant and equipment deficiencies or for continuous improvement through root cause analysis (RCA)
- Create a safe work environment and ensure compliance of safety policies and procedures
- Effectively assist in managing and controlling maintenance costs and budget
- Maintain documents and records in accordance with policies and procedures
- Manage equipment inventory and procurement of parts
- Assist in the installation of Capital projects including the research of the project, cost estimates, sourcing of contractors and project timelines
- Journeyman/Red Seal trades certification as Millwright or Electrician, dule, and/or industrial trade is preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor preferred
- Experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read, follow and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals and manufacturers' specifications
- Strong leadership and management skills with a “hands on” approach to train and develop the skills and abilities of the team
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Macola, CompuCal (CMMS) and AutoCAD would be an asset
- Familiar with BRCGS (food safety) protocols
- Experience in project management would be an asset
