**ROLE TITLE**:QUALITY CONTROL ANALYST (Microbiology)**

**DEPARTMENT**:QUALITY CONTROL**

**REPORTS TO**:SUPERVISOR, QUALITY CONTROL**

**HOURS**:DAY SHIFT: 8:00 TO 16:30**

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing Quality Control testing for Pharmaceutical and Natural Health products.

This position is for Wet-Chemistry/Microbiology

**Responsibilities**:

- Participating in various microbial testing for cleaning validation, purified water, compress air and environmental monitoring using established analytical procedures and compendia methods. Preform Classification/Identification of Microorganisms (gram staining)
- Analyze air particulate test on GMP area and Compress air.
- Assessment of micro-organisms and preform annual summary reports on EM programs.
- Manage inventory of micro supplies that including manage of Growth promotion and Negative control testing of micro supplies.
- Analyze finished products/raw materials/stability samples using various chemical and instrumental techniques in accordance with established compendial and in-house testing methods.
- Operating and calibrating lab instruments on a daily basis or as required.
- Recognizing out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and assisting in the completion of lab investigation.
- Writing and revising SOP’s and STM’s.
- Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements in manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
- Participate in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Microbiology or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or Food Industry as Microbiologist.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of the associated regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Sense of urgency and flexibility.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
