**Assistant Shipping Coordinator**

The Assistant Shipping Coordinator’s primary focus is to provide essential support in a variety of shipping tasks. The Assistant Shipping Coordinator’s expertise and experience will guide the team in determining where they are most needed on a daily or weekly basis. Additionally, they'll take the lead on accurate record-keeping and overseeing scanner duties to maintain operational efficiency.

**Responsibilities**
- Adhere to shipping protocols tailored to various customer categories including majors, independents and others
- Understand all aspects of customer’s portals and websites to generate manifests, schedule appointments, create labels, and produce packing slips
- Maintain proficiency in navigating carrier systems (e.g., Canpar, UPS, Post, FedEx)
- Accurately label boxes in preparation for outbound shipments
- Coordinate pick-up schedules with multiple carriers
- Act as a liaison between the packing and shipping departments, keeping the Shipping Supervisor informed of ongoing order statuses
- Responsible for inventory of selected customers, maintaining accurate and updated records, and promptly informing the Supervisor of any detected or anticipated issues
- Collaborate with the Shipping Supervisor to establish a Pick and Pack schedule and ensure inventory replenishment is executed accordingly
- Set up distribution areas for majors
- Help maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Daily communication with internal departments
- Maintain up to date directory of shipping contacts
- Assist the Shipping Supervisor with any additional ad hoc tasks

**Qualifications**
- 2 years of experience in warehousing and shipping
- Bilingual, fluent in French and English
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow given instructions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Great problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and stand for extended periods when required
