As a multi-faceted communications professional, you are responsible for providing vital support to our marketing, communications and project initiatives. You have a knack for keeping all things organized and paying special attention to details. You are an out-of-the box thinker with big ideas and a passion for community and local business. **Responsibilities**

**Project Coordination and Support**
- You will assist and support events and programs led by the management team. This could involve creating a special website pages and planning, creating, and scheduling social media content, planning events, and/or helping coordinate public placemaking projects.
- You love details Experience leading and planning special projects or events is an asset.
- You excel in market research - you enjoy digging into the details to support our goals to better support our membership, community and our initiatives. We make evidence-based decisions, so need a strong team member to support our research efforts.
- You will be responsible for supporting management of multiple databases like our membership databases, new license reports, and use CRMs like Membership Works.

**Marketing and Communications Support**
- You assist and support marketing and communications initiatives led by our management team.
- You are no stranger to social media marketing and know how to create engagement online through various online networks.
- You are confident with a variety of marketing and communications strategies and tactics and can step in when a team member is away.
- Use of digital marketing and communications tools to communicate concisely with various audiences.
- Coordinating internal communications and deadlines with project management platforms like Asana.
- You have strong communication skills - both verbal and written. You are comfortable supporting a variety of communications with members, stakeholders, and the public.
- You manage and document all important dates, so we don’t miss vital deadlines.

**Qualifications/Desired Skills**
- Post-secondary education related to business, marketing, or communications is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer software such as: Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, project management software and CRMs. Experience with Canva is an asset.
- Experience in online marketing including website, blogs and social media engagement. Working knowledge of Wordpress is an asset.
- Experience and education in market research principles and utilizing excel to decipher data.
- An outgoing, confident personality is essential to this role; as is a willingness to step outside of your comfort zone to engage with people, professionals, and support our team.
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative. You are a problem solver.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet goals with little supervision.
- Your writing and communication skills are top-notch and fun.
- Strong customer service, organization skills, ability to multitask effectively and creatively.
- You thrive in a changing environment working within a small team.
- You are familiar with Old Strathcona and Edmonton’s small business community.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
