- Opportunity to work from home part time, or full time depending on location.
**Responsibilities will include**:
Administration:
- Assist Manager with all tasks that may arise in relation to the project
- Continue to develop media and promotional materials to advertise the project
- Act in a supporting role to plan and facilitate logistics for workshops, including creation of agendas, marketing materials, and onsite event execution (virtual or in-person)
- Market the workshops and engage with potential attendees
- Manage workshop registration and on-going communication with attendees as needed
- Respond to correspondence and information requests as needed to support the Manager
- Coordinate external communications with stakeholders, clients and rural communities
- Support outreach activities to communities and community-based organizations across Canada
- Help Manager connect with local partners & networks to provide them access to the tool
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and communities to improve the tool, compiling that feedback into report form
- Help the Sustainable Housing Initiative (SHI) team with any other work and cover any resource gaps in the team
Communications:
- Implement communications plans
- Copywriting
- Create content and manage social media calendar; post regularly on SHI social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Manage SEO & update website as required
- Manage paid digital advertising
- Graphic design
Desired Skills and Experience:
- High degree of fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent computer literacy
- Copywriting & content creation
- Graphic design expertise; experience with Adobe Suite preferred
- Current experience using Hootsuite, Facebook Meta Business Suite, Facebook advertising, SEO & Google adwords, and LinkedIn advertising; reporting results
- Experience scheduling events in Eventbrite & Zoom
- Results driven, proactive and able to work independently
- Flexible, change embracing and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Outgoing personality that enjoys talking to and engaging people
- A positive “team player” attitude, and desire to help others meet goals and be successful
- Interest in learning about the social sector and community development work
- Experience working with or living in a rural Canadian community is an asset
