**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate Transportation: Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods and materials, ensuring efficient and timely delivery to customers and distribution centers.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate inventory counts and prevent stockouts or overstocks.
- Supplier and Vendor Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor their performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements and quality standards.
- Shipping and Documentation: Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and export/import paperwork, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and requirements. Ensure proper packaging and labelling is used.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs, streamline logistics processes, and negotiate favorable rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other service providers.
- Tracking and Reporting: Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers. Prepare and analyze logistics reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve logistics-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, by collaborating with internal teams, carriers, and suppliers.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, such as transportation, customs, and hazardous materials requirements. Promote a culture of safety and implement measures to prevent accidents or injuries within the logistics operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management. Propose and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency and improve overall logistics performance.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 to 5 years’ proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics concepts, procedures, and best practices.
- First-hand experience with material receiving, picking, packaging and shipping.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation is a plus.
- Experience with operation of material handling equipment and packaging tools
- Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in the transportation industry.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally.
