Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the Benefits Coordinator plays in important role in helping employees manage and understand benefit programs. You will be responsible for administrating various employee benefits, including retirement plans, health & dental insurance, disability, and parental leaves.

**In a typical day, YOU will**:

- Responsible for ensuring that all new eligible employees complete their Group Insurance and Pension enrolment forms
- Maintain employee records and updates in our HRIS and benefit platforms i.e., enrolments, coverage changes, terminations, dependents deletions and additions
- Act as primary point of contact for employee questions and any escalated issues between benefit providers and organization
- Verify monthly invoices and prepare payments for the various premiums and services provided
- Help prepare communications for any changes in benefit programs and offerings
- Support HRBPs and the business with leave requests and return to work changes
- Audit and analyze HRIS and benefit platforms to ensure all employee data is accurate
- Coordinate various benefit presentations i.e., employee onboarding, external trainings
- Provide support for wellness programs and initiatives
- Prepare various reports as required
- Complete other ad hoc projects as a member of the team

**Must-haves for this role**:

- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or equivalent
- A minimum 2+ years of applicable benefits administration experience
- Professional certification (such as CEBS, CMS, or GBA) is considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills; MS Office Suite (Intermediate Excel), as well as HRIS (UKG)
- Enjoys working with people - approachable and accessible
- Handles confidential information with utmost discretion
- Professional, show good judgment and a positive attitude
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and be detail oriented
