Welcome to Havana

Havana Vancouver was influenced by the faded glory of Old Havana in Cuba. Havana’s doors opened in September of 1996 in one of Vancouver’s most diverse neighborhoods (Commercial Drive) Havana is a Latin inspired restaurant and we are a unique part of Vancouver’s cultural landscape, as we house a cocktail bar and restaurant both under one roof.

YOU: Charismatic, fun, and energetic host of the party. Team-oriented and personable with a proven track record of hospitality and a passion for cocktails.

US: Our group began in 2011 as Vancouver Urban Winery which evolved into Belgard Kitchen and Postmark Brewing (now Van Urban Beer Co.) in 2014. We added Havana to our portfolio in 2017 and added The Flamingo Room to our portfolio December 2023. We are always on the lookout for our next restaurant opportunity. We pride ourselves on fostering friendships and creating memorable experiences both for our guests and our people.

**Responsibilities**:
Build signature and classic cocktails according to recipe with speed, precision, and finesse

Create memorable experiences for our guests through engaging and personable service

Offer recommendations on cocktails and food to tailor the guest experience based on their preferences

Have an in-depth understanding of the food and beverage menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.

Work seamlessly with fellow team members while fostering a positive and cohesive work environment.

Keep work areas clean and organized, including bar stations and server stations.

Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including responsible alcohol service.

Attributes:
Proven experience as a cocktail bartender in a high-volume environment

Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and beverage trends

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality

Honesty & Integrity

Commitment & passion for what you do

3 to 4 shifts per week required availability (Wednesday to Sunday evenings)
