**Your role as Change and Release Specialist**:
The Change and Release Specialist is in charge of any change affecting the production environments. The role will plan and lead the activities related to the release of the complete WorkJam solution. It will facilitate the release preparation meetings, and ensure that the internal and external stakeholders are aligned for the upcoming release. It will help identify conflicts, dependencies and risks for the release, as well as lead the effort to mitigate and find solutions for such issues. The role will also work collaboratively with different actors to secure the production release, as well as any activities planned for the release; it will make sure the impacts and risks are discussed, and solutions are prepared.

**What you will be doing**:

- Support the preparation and coordination of the release plan, covering front end, back end and mobile apps.
- Manage risks and help resolve any issues that affect the delivery of the releases.
- Ensure the release follows the WorkJam lifecycle standards.
- In charge of setting maintenance windows due to deployment in production environments.
- Able to investigate issues during deployment, and to coordinate with other teams.
- Support WorkJam teams to plan and deliver production changes using ITIL change management practice (code changes, infra, configuration, and new customers).
- Assess the risk of production changes, is responsible of the acceptance of delivery.
- Conduct regular release related meetings and follow-ups, including Go / No-go meetings and post-mortems.
- Monitor and escalate changes in the release scope or schedule.
- Support the organization by providing release plans, changes, and history across multiple stakeholders - upper management, Professional Services, Support, Operations, etc.
- Maintain release checklists and calendars for each deployment.
- Monitor and ensure all dependencies, and migrations are compliant to standards and ready for the release.
- Coordinate the change activities during the deployment to Production, UAT, PreProd, DEMO environments.
- Support the Release Team on continuous improvements and department alignments.
- Improve and implement scripts to help and automate releases activities.
- Assist development teams to move forward with CI/CD target.
- Assist to provide metrics and KPI on releases.
- Maintain release documentation for release team and other teams.

**What we're looking for**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Software Engineering or related fields).
- 3+ years work experience in a software company as a technical role, preferably with exposure to DevOps, Support, or DEV/QA.
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Very good knowledge of release processes and concepts, CI/CD environments, software versioning and deployment strategies.
- Hands-on experience or implementation of Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle.
- Ability to manage scope, scheduling, risk-assessment, and roll-back activities.
- Ability to engage and work effectively with different departments within the company.
- Previous experience coordinating releases or managing deployments.
- Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, Harness.io, GCP.
- Knowledge of any programming language (Bash, Java, Python).
- ITIL Foundation certification is an asset.
